"Couldn’t have started our stay any better with a warm and detailed welcome from a real person who spoke good English. She was funny, warm and went out of her way to be helpful. Then we had a lovely introduction to our room with a lesson on how to wear a yukata and were made and served a pot of tea. It felt such a cultural welcome and the room was a very Japanese cultural room with futons, mats as low furniture. "We stayed one night as a quick visit. The hotel is located at the end of the onsen strip. It's a older hotel. Lights are dimmer than the ones in the cities. We like that we get futons and sleep on the floor. Front desk staff speaks limited English, but they try their best to answer our questions. "Really great hotel outside of the of the hubbub. Spa is basic but wonderful not crowded. The surrounding area is full of nature and boats. It’s quiet and it’s peaceful. Our room was a traditional room with the tatami mats. It had a kettle and little sweet treats. Overall it was great. Would stay there again even though it’s on the other side of the river. We came by bike and we could park our bikes no problem. "
