"I want to start off by saying I had a nice visit, I did the half board option and the food was plentiful and very tasty. Lots of variety, the sushi was not good and their take on Western food isn't great but the Japanese food is awesome. 2 different Onsen areas that alternate gender daily so you can try both. "The walk to the hotel from the Kusatsu bus station is not a mere 8-10mins or so, esp with luggage in tow and that it’s a bit steep to get to this hotel. Definitely not for older folks!! "Staff were very nice in welcoming us on arrival. It was snowing heavily so greatly appreciate that . But no one to help us with luggages when leaving the next day. Huge contrast ; is it only will help if snowing! Convenient to go to onsen and enjoy it! Staff not fluent in English. We had an emergency and the help they gave was quite limited. Food was ok but have to pay for your coffee & tea if you want it for breakfast. Maybe the meals they provide are traditional Japanese ! "
