"We didn’t stay at Le Cheval Blanc as it was closed for holidays, Hotels.com advised of a nearby chambres d’hôtes and we stayed there ‘Au clos de Charny’ which was lovely, our only problem was our room was up two flights of steep stairs. The room was spacious and clean with a large comfortable bed, a very nice shower room with a good shower. The breakfast was superb, a great choice of cheeses and charcuterie, breads, homemade jams, fresh fruit salad and yoghurt. The host is a lovely lady too."

"Booked the day itself a room for the night and received a confirmation and payment was done. When I arrived the hotel was closed and out of operation. Some strange excuse that email was not working but apparently nothing was working because they couldnt give me a room because no rooms were heated and the water was shut off. The day afterwards the customer servicenof hotels tried to reach the hotel but nobody picked up the phone. "

"Good stay for the price. Pretty small room with no frills. A bit scruffy, but manageable for a single night stopover. We did have some trouble with the air con not functioning properly, which made for a very warm stay in late August, but at least we were able to leave the window open at times for some air (and road traffic noise).
