"This villa is very well equipped. Comfortable beds. Spacious rooms.Not always possible to find an en suite on the ground floor for a 92 year old! Quiet location. Beautiful scenery. The only slight annoyance, no towels, so come prepared! Luckily our friends living nearby provided us with them! Would recommend this villa which has the bonus of a swimming pool, for the warmer weather, boules area and table tennis space. Thank you Jean Michael Michaud for providing a welcoming home!! "

"This old building has been converted to an attractive and comfortable gite, with excellent views from the garden. It's a long way up the hill so quite cool. Hard to find the right building as we did not have adequate directions. The giveaway is the owner's name on the cover for the electricity meter on the wall alongside the road. Le village est un petit coin de tranquillité mais situé a quelques minutes seulement du village des vans ou vous trouverez les commerces et restaurants. La maison est récente, propre, super équipée et bénéficie de toute le confort moderne. Les gros points positifs sont la piscine avec une superbe vue , sans vis a vis et adapté aux enfants (petite plage) et la cuisine d'été située juste à cotée avec plancha, frigo et bbq. "This villa is in a quiet corner of the village of Lavilledieu, yet is convenient for all the Ardeche has to offer. All the rooms are on one floor, and in particular include a large conservatory which opens fully into a small patio which is ideal for eating out. The hosts are very friendly, and nothing is too much trouble. In fact my son was lent a bike to explore part of the countryside at no cost! The pool is also very inviting."

"The property was damp and not clean to sleep in with the children’s bed being covered in dust when weight was put onto it. Furniture in the bedroom was green with mold spores. We only stayed a night as we arrived late even though we had booked for four as the smell of damp was cloying and overwhelming and the accommodation frankly unihabitable. We reported it to Vrbo asking for a refund and no help was provided sadly so we lost £500 of accommodation fees and had a disrupted holiday having to find an alternative place to stay. A real shame as the pool photo looked great and we thought it would a restful stay however this turned out not to be the case . The photos and listing are misleading. "
