The room was quite nice, but old - the carpet needs replacement, the walls need scrubbing and that bathtub is NOT safe for anyone with any mobility issues at all, or even just for short or elderly people. "The hotel is a large old inn on the outside, but inside is modern, clean and very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and looked after us very well. For example: we were shown to our room on arrival (never had that before) and were a font of knowledge about the various local walks and sights. There is even a map painted on the ceiling of the bar! Restaurant was an excellent source of hearty and freshly cooked meals (breakfasts and dinners). Highly recommend."

"Just a one night stop over in the city. Hotel next to railway station so a good location. Generally very clean but parts of room whilst clean were a little tired. Ie bathroom could do with an upgrade, windows could be improved. My friends had breakfast and thought it was excellent but I don’t eat breakfast. I would certainly return if in the area."
