"What a gem! We had a lovely 2-night stay at Alparthotel surrounding one day of skiing at Champery. The hotel is lovely, quiet, and clean. It is an easy walk from the Chemin de Verger bus stop. We did not have a car and were able to walk to a Coop nearby (grocery store and restaurant). The rooms were comfortable and modern. Would definitely recommend!"

Unfortunately, the development lacks from an attention to detail in a number of areas, including the fixtures and fittings and the layout of the kitchenette. The swimming pool and sauna were overcrowded. There is a general unclarity whether parking, wifi, towels and sheets are included or excluded from the rental, with staff at the front-desk not being able to provide clarity."

"Enjoyed the stay. Close proximity to Ski lifts and can hit all 4 Valles. Suggested to host to have give more notice on the deposit and have more avenues/ways to give him the deposit. He only wanted cash and I didnt have time to get cash being that I left the U.S.A. on a Sunday and he advised me of the cash deposit THAT Sunday morning. No Cashapp or Zelle option either.Host is VERY nice and helpful. Thank you, Jean. Enjoyed it."

"Thomas is an amazing host, as from the get go he was very responsive & helpful with any queries. The Chalet Barbara is a truly magical place and the family history attached to it makes is even more special! The hike up there is a bit of a challenge with luggage if you are on foot, as we had to climb during very heavy rain - but the views certainly makes it all worth it. It was a shortish walk to a button/T-bar lift/bus to gondola - we used hire car to go to car park nearer lifts as too far for children in ski-boots.
