Welcome to the White Cottage at Gildridge, a charming one-bedroom, pet-friendly retreat on a 6.35-acre gated estate. Enjoy the tranquil rural setting while staying close to local amenities. Surrounded by beautiful gardens and lawned areas, the property features a shared tennis court and a children’s play area. A private hot tub and EV charger are available for an extra fee (24-hour notice required for the hot tub). Dogs are warmly welcomed for a perfect countryside getaway!

This an unusual open plan property. The cottage offers an open plan sitting/dining room with kitchen area, a bathroom and a first-floor bedroom which features a double bed and two single beds in the same area and can be accessed via a feature spiral staircase. There is a sloping ceiling.

The White Cottage is detached and part of a small estate. It has a small private garden with a hot tub and decked dining area. There is also an area of about 3.5 acres of lawned area that the guest may use with picnic tables, children play area and tennis court. These areas are shared with two other properties.

Set in the middle of the beautiful Sussex countryside. A property on a small gated estate.

There are bus routes nearby but being a countryside location, they can be infrequent. We recommend you have your own transport at this property is in the countryside but within a short drive to Brighton, Eastbourne and plentiful local attractions and countryside walks.

G*Chiddingly 1.75 miles, Lewes 8 miles, Eastbourne 12 miles, Brighton & Hove 15 miles, London 49 miles from the property.

*The historic county town of Lewes is some 8 miles from the property and offers a comprehensive range of shops and amenities, together with a mainline train service to London (London Bridge/Victoria about 64 minutes). The coastal, business and entertainment centres of Eastbourne and Brighton & Hove are both about 12 and 15 miles respectively.

*Dog Friendly .

*Lead guest needs to send their photographic id before checking in.

* The Linen for the sofabed is stored under the double ottoman bed.

*High chairs and travel cots are available and must be requested at least 24 hours before arrival. We do not supply linen, quilts, etc for the travel cot.

*Tennis court is free to use/you would need to bring your own equipment. Tennis court is shared with the two other properties.

*Property features an area for the children to play and is shared with the two other properties. Shared Fire pit.

* Home offers an EV Charger and is a contactless payment and is located in the parking area behind white cottage.

* Philips Barista coffee machine that takes coffee pods.

*We will send the code to open the front gate prior to check in.

*The White House Cottage has a washing machine for your stay.

*We have one additional cottage that sleeps (6) and one large main house which can sleep up to 20 located on the estate as well that are also available to be rented. Each has their own private hot tub, washer and dryer along with a Smart TV. Please reach out to discuss rates and dates available for booking.

*No sellotape, blueback or similar to be used to fix any decorations to any surface including walls in the property.

*No fireworks at all. Horses and dogs nearby.

*No loud music outside.

* We accept absolutely no liability whatsoever for any loss or damage sustained whilst staying at the properties, grounds and facilities at the properties Gildridge, The Cottage and The White Cottage.
Pet Policy:
This cottage allows (2) pets per stay.

Tennis Courts:
Tennis courts are available year-round.
No pets are allowed in the fenced court areas.
Court gates should be kept closed at all times for safety.
The courts are for tennis only. No bikes, skates, skateboards, scooters or other activities are permitted on the court at any time.
Children under the age of 10 must be supervised by an adult at all times.

HOT TUB RULES:
NO Pregnant women, children and those with heart disease
ASK your doctor before getting in if you take medicines or have medical condition
Don’t get in tub if you have open sores or wounds, or cuts, or diarrhea
SHOWER off particles, oils, cosmetics, hair gels, etc…before getting in
No drugs or alcohol use before or during
No pets, pee, or procreation allowed in the tub
Keep your head, arms and upper chest out of the water to avoid overheating
Stay hydrated before getting into the hot tub
Get out if you feel dizzy, overheated, nauseous, or unwell
Close the lid when you are finished
Do Not sit, lay or stand on the hot tub cover. Cost of replacement is £750 and will be charged to the lead guest..
Be careful when getting out so you don’t slip and fall

*Park at your own risk as management assumes no responsibility for any damage, theft, or loss that may occur while the vehicle is parked.

*Caution should be exercised when walking the grounds as there are several ponds on the property.
