Independent in Littlejohn Island from NZ$147

"While the staff at the hotel is nice and attentive, the property needs a major renovation. Our “junior suite” felt old, one of the windows didn’t work and would not stay open, some plugs didn’t work, same as 2 of the lamps, the bathroom is dark and the furniture looks old and somewhat damaged. The mattress was ok but terrible pillows. The sofa bed was horrible. We decided to leave 1 day before even though we had paid for the night. "

"We arrived at around 9 pm and in order to get to our suite we had to go up via a staircase (no elevator). We were not offered any help and in that situation and nor were we told about the staircase until we had schlepped half way there. The sheets smelled quite perfumed. Not our preference."

"Easy to get to off the interstate, only a short drive to the South Portland mall, great dining choices right in the direct area. For our fellow pickleball peeps it's directly across from The Picklr. "
