"Very Decent, upper tier hotel. 5-10m walk straight down Rainerstr. from Salzburg Hbf on the traffic circle. Around corner (3 blocks) from Panorama Bus Tours., Mirabell Garden Platz, etc. 15m (casual/easy/touristy) walk to Old Town and sites. Nice rooftop restaurant, IMLAUE & Bräu (just before next door) nice (reserv. recmnd. if during busy times) local restaurant. Staff helpful. Rooms clean and spacey."

"This hotel is great choice if you are looking to be in a walkable area. The Sound of Music tour is a 3 min walk away and the old town is about 6 or 7 minutes. The room was clean but a little spartan. The staff are great. Breakfast was a little expensive. We ended up eating at a great takeout place across the street where you can get good coffee, rolls, fruit, yogurt, and sandwiches. "

"Gerl Hotel is a place not only to sleep while travelling but to spend time in the hotel as well. It has a great resturant and the breakfast was very tasty with a wide variety of dishes. Shame the main spa (which is spectacular) opens only at 11:00 and closes at 20:00. "

"This is so close to the main train station that it took us about 5 minutes to walk back and forth. The bus stop is less than five minutes the other direction for the city bus. The breakfast was in the restaurant and it was suberb! Fresh cheese, meats and breads in addition to hot foods. Definitely would stay here again. "
