"When I first arrived the gentleman behind the front desk was very cold. No hello. No welcome. Took my passport, handed it to a woman and put my key on the counter. Maybe he was having a bad day. The woman was very friendly and welcoming as was the entire staff all around the hotel. I tried to take a nap before dinner as I was not feeling well and even with turning the heat on high I was shivering. Freezing cold. Three layers plus a thick hoody, socks, warm pants and the three blankets. I thought...

"This absolutely deserved the perfect rating. The staff was beyond kind welcoming and helpful. "Lovely hotel in an ideal location. The rooms were traditional which is fine, they were clean and today and had everything we needed. The spa area was much better than expected and the breakfast was plentiful. It is literally a 20/25 minute walk down a straight road to the duomo area and 10 minutes to the central station."
