"We had a perfect holiday here! The house was clean, well equipped to cook and spend the days. Small excursions to Koper, Izola, Piran, Cerkno as well as the surrounding small villages made this place a perfect destination to travel from. The host was very dedicated and helpful and gave us great travel advise! Thank you!"

"Really nice place to stay. Our room was very small but we knew this in advance. We were there during a heatwave so the pool was amazing. The airconditioning is also great. Breakfast is good, really nice pistachio croissants. The restaurant next to the hotel is a nice place to eat. Only negatives thing would be that the hotel is a bit noisy, you can hear people in the hallway in the morning for example. "

"Staff were rude. At checkin she chose to answer many calls meaning checkin took a very long time No directions given. Tried to checkout and apparently the remote for air con had to be taken down but no one tells you this Staff were so rude Meals were below average. A Buffett dinner and breakfast but the serving trays were empty and not refilled The rooms were very noisy and aircon didn’t work so well Had to park a very long way away and two people damaged cars because of narrow road "

"Garden apartment part of family home. Majda is friendly host with lots of local information. Twenty minute walk into Koper old town which at the time of our visit had lots of events going on. Local beaches a bit limited but easy drive to more attractive options. Plenty of things to see and do in the area, far more than we could do in one week"

"This is one of the few rental properties on our recent trip to Europe where we felt like the owners had gone to a great deal of effort to provide everything you need to be comfortable. "Die Anlage besteht aus drei seperaten Wohneinheiten wodurch jede Familie ihren privaten Rückzugsort hatte. Der Innenhof/Garten ist schön gestaltet und wir haben viele tolle Abende dort verbracht. "We had a really great stay in Forgotten Garden Apartments. We liked the proximity of the sea shore, however quite a steep street led there. But it was good for some physical training, especially when you go up with a stroller. The apartment was clean, nice, but a bit small - two bedrooms accommodated only the beds. "Our first impressions were less than favorable, but we left feeling much better about our stay. It was very difficult to find the check-in location. And there was no parking or stopping point allowed for convenient access to check in. The room was very nice, but guests need to be aware of the limitations for parking and the fact that there are no elevators leading to the rooms. No assistance was offered to help carry our heavy suitcases up the stairs. The breakfast that was included was fabulous. The hotel offers two breakfast sessions to keep the numbers controlled as there are numerous guests wanting to eat at the same time. The facility provides access to amazing wellness treatments for an extra charge. These need to be scheduled in advance so don’t plan on using these your first day of arrival. Schedule well in advance. "

" Beautiful hotel, all rooms are facing the coast. Swimming pool with warm sea water is excellent. Parking is little bit outside of the hotel and might not have enough space. Walking distance to both Portoroz and Piran. The only complaint is no air conditioning in October. It is still warm during the day. Open windows work at night. "

"I cannot recommend this hotel more highly. I wanted to stay in Piran but choose this hotel initially for two reasons: (a) it was walking distance along a promenade to Piran and offered free parking; and (b) it would be staying in a slice of history as the form of the hotel (though not the renovated interiors) harked back to the more brutalist days of the Yugoslav Republic. Then I got there - the staff were unfailingly lovely; the room was big (after several days of tiny rooms); each room has an expansive sea view; the breakfast was out of this world; and it was a beautiful promenade in front of the hotel along the sea. It was really a singular experience and one of the reasons that Piran was a highlight of the trip. My mother (70 yo) felt very poorly on the last night of the trip and was quite ill during the night. As we didn't have to leave to go to the airport until 4pm, I requested a late-check out. Not only did they give my mother the room until 4pm, but they didn't accept extra payment for the additional time in the room. Honestly I can't recommend this hotel more highly!"
