"The house was exactly as seen in pictures, it was very cozy and comfortable. We had a pretty busy schedule of activities so did not spend a whole lot of time at the house but was very comfortable when we returned from a busy day and needed to unwind and sleep. Ian was very helpful with his communication about his property and was good at suggesting things for us to do prior to our booking and arrival. We were very pleased with our the house and area that we stayed in, very quiet and beautiful!"

"A very complete & thoughtfully presented holiday house almost right on the lake. Prefer if closer to Queenstown. I booked with Expedia, made one payment on my credit card, then was billed by Vrbo, which is connected with Expedia for a second payment. This was not wrong, but confusing, as I expected my credit card to be automatically billed by Expedia for a second payment."

"We had a very pleasant overnight in Athol, and even had a magical snowy morning. Bedrooms were comfortable, kitchen missing a few things like oven trays and some other bits and pieces, and oven was a big older etc. but overall comfortable with very peaceful surrounds."

"The property was clean and tidy during our stay. There are basic kitchen utensils if you need to cook a simple meal. A new shower has also been installed since the last review. Aroha was a kind and friendly host. I recommend this unit for travellers stopping over for a night to rest before heading to their next destination. "

"Ida Cottage was perfect. Beautifully renovated house at the end of a cul de sac overlooking paddocks and sheep with views to the mountains. Walking distance to the supermarket and cafe. Duncan has thought of everything a guest might need - comfortable beds with high quality linen, masses of fluffy towels, well appointed kitchen. Fast WiFi, efficient A/C and heating. We loved it. Perfect for two people as a base to fish the surrounding rivers and explore Mavora Lakes. "
