"Great, cozy, comfortable, light-filled cottage for two on St Margarets Bay, with view of water from large deck. Close to beaches, South Shore, Peggy's Cove and Halifax area. The village of Hubbards has grocery, cafes, pharmacy, NSLC, bike trails and great Farmers Market."

"Wow! Whalesback Cottage was the Nova Scotia oceanside escape that we were looking for. Our own private space – no traffic … no crowds … and the only sounds were the waves hitting the rocks. We spent countless pleasant hours watching the tides change the view … scanned the ocean with binoculars looking for the whales folks see occasionally. A few excited moments at dusk when we caught sight of several whales waaaaay out – okay, turned out be distant shoals but what fun! Enjoyed long walks … to...

"Beautiful lake view, quiet private space, and comfortable bed. Be aware there are quite a few stairs down to the cabin so you will get your exercise carrying your luggage and supplies 😂"

"The hilltop retreat was perfect for us. We were looking for a place big enough and fully equipped to host a family gathering pre-Christmas. This was just right. The kitchen is fully equipped. The hosts have thought of everything. The house is cozy and beautiful. Great distance from town and beautiful views. We may make it an annual tradition. "

We found everything to be true to the listing if not better, and the stunning views from multiple directions made our stay even more memorable. We were able to explore a great deal of the surrounding areas thanks to the central location, with short hops to nearby Lunenburg, Mahone Bay, Peggy's Cove, Chester, and of course Halifax and other great destinations. "The property was fantastic, well equipped and super cozy. We really appreciated the scent-free clean linens and space. The view is amazing and there is nothing like enjoying an ocean-side soak in a swim spa. Mishoo's was a great place to grab dinner and beverage to-go(3 minutes away). The place was a great destination spot - away from the city but close enough to be convenient."

"Entrance should have a hand rail and upstairs should be carpeted at time a lot of foot noise"

"Great house. Some of the furniture needs changing like the dining room chairs that are very wobbly.3 bedrooms in basement are only doubles so like my son and his wife that are bigger people they had to sleep separately. All in all there was a great view and it was worth the prixe."
