"Great flexibility for eating in or eating out, good location on quieter street but easy to walk to everything, transport links, grocery stores close by to stock up the fridge, nice walls by the river. Linen and towels clean and fresh. Kitchen reasonably stocked. Found kettle in cupboard which is essential for us brits. Only downside is we couldn't adjust the air con below 22 degrees which was a little too warm at night but not the end of the world. Would definitely stay again if we go back to...

"Conditions at the hotel are great but it had a bad start. I wanted to do without the hassle and check in at the hotel but there was no one on Sunday so I was wondering why I can't get in the hotel. "Das Stellwerk wurde originell umgebaut. Ich würde es als eine grosse Loftwohnung bezeichnen. Die Unterkunft hat einen privatem aussen Bereich. Im Eingangsbereich ist ein sehr kleines Gäste WC. Vom Entree führt eine Treppe nach unten in den Wohnraum mit Kaminofen. Die Decke ist sehr hoch und somit befindet sich dort noch eine Galerie mit einem Doppelbett. "The property and rooms were very nice, clean and spacious. Breakfast is not available but a ahort ride into town iffers several options for eating. Keep in mind that there is not an elevator and it seems that the rooms are on higher levels. Overall I would recommend staying here as it is secure and a lovely place."

Beautiful Basel Break

"I was allocated a room on the 11th floor so the view from My bedroom window of the city was amazing, even at night as all the street lights came on. The location of the Hotel was ideal for Me as it meant I was able to walk to the Basel football shopping centre in 15 minutes and to the Rhine river and hills which surround the city. It was also only 20 minutes walk from the main station although there was also a tram stop 2 minutes walk away which linked the location to the centre and of course was free as is all public transport during the duration of any stay. "
