"The property is lovely, convenient, and the owner and assistant were very helpful and easy to communicate with. Two negatives were that the walls were pretty thin, and yo could hear voices (muffled) on the other side. The other was that in the two nights/days that we were there we never were able to get onto the internet, even though we had the password correct. Despite those two things, I would not hesitate to stay here again."

"Really enjoyed the Bear River area and Mill Yard was really convenient for visiting both Digby and Annapolis Royal."

"The beautiful and clean lake-front log cabin has all you need. A large wrap-around deck is perfect for morning coffee at the lake. There is a new launch ladder perfect to launch canoes or kayaks, The two bedrooms are small, but new shelving provides space for luggage and other items. The whole setting is very rural and peaceful."

"The house comes fully equipped and is all very comfortable. Located well away from the neighbours it is all very private and quiet. Dock allows for deep dives into warm, clear waters. It was all great! "

"Darren & Su were fantastic hosts!!! The guided tour was very informative. The chance to see a couple whose hearts directed them into the year round business of winemaking is endearing. The room was spotless. They were responsive to our questions and requests. Nothing quite like being able to order pizza and watch the sunset with a bottle of wine. "

"Visiting family and friends in Nova Scotia, for more than a month and while I truly enjoy their company, I needed a short 'me time'. This was perfect for a 2 day get away and I could have stayed longer, but was expected in the Annapolis Valley. The cottage has a fully equipped kitchen; knowing the type of coffee maker ahead of time would have helped me choose my 'grind' better. Cosy living area with a view of the lake. Extremely quiet while I was there. Owners close by to respond to my questions. Would I return: yes!"
