"A really lovely lodge in the best location in Cape Mclear, it had the most amazing chef and restaurant and lovely gardens. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. It’s also felt very safe. The room was a little tired and bathroom needed to be a little cleaner, however this is a country that has very limited resources so it was always going to be different to a western and more developed experience. It’s definitely the place to stay in this beautiful corner of Malawi! "

"The lake view is nice. The water is very high right now and so there is no beachfront (which is reportedly the case at most properties). Unfortunately, my room had no hot water (though they tried to turn it on??) and the wifi might as well be nonexistent. The Indian menu options at the restaurant are very tasty, however. Expectations should be kept in check."

"Stayed here for one night , it was hot season and the rooms were very stuffy air con was effective and room was tired with old windows and broken toilet and sink. Staff were extremely helpful and made up for the difference."

"A more affordable option in Senga Bay, but still a very nice place in its own right. Much more personable than the more anonymous, bigger hotels. Super friendly staff and owner, great breakfast (with coffee!) and a big room with AC."
