"Great property for a weekend gateway; safe for the kids to run around the fenced garden area. Hosts also left a cute little basket of snacks, which was a nice touch. I would definitely recommend as a family friendly get away. "

"This place was amazing. We loved the view of the volcano and the cleanliness of the accommodations. The host was spectacular. We needed to wash some of our clothes and the host offered to wash them for us. I would definitely recommend this place and wished we could’ve stayed longer. "

"Beds were super comfy, kitchen is pretty well equipped and the bathrooms are lovely. There was, however, some things overlooked in regards to cleaning. Outdoor table was very dirty, much of the livingroom was dusty and there was no bin bag in the ensuite bathroom. Some.of the cutlery was dirty and there was an ornamental/fruit(?) bowl with mold in it. The fridge and freezer had a lot of old food left, much of which was expired, so that was a shame. Overall, we enjoyed our stay! Just a few things...

"Excellent everything. 50 minute drive to New Plymouth each day so early start and late return. Great to return home each night to a lovely home. Had everything we needed to relax after a hard day at "the office" - Matatini. "

"Was up from Dunedin for a speedway event and everything was top notch clean and easy access to everything. Would recommend staying at this place for a group of 5 or nore very spacious"

"Wonderful helpful hosts. Room was clean, quiet and peaceful. I was suppose to be attending a child's 4th birthday over the weekend however caught a cold that rendered me unable to attend, thankfully my partner was able to go. Penny made sure I had everything I needed and let me know that they were there should I need anything else. Above and beyond. Beds are extremely comfortable and the spa bath is highly recommended. Thank you Mr and Mrs Mitchell for making it a pleasant stay despite my circumstances. "
