"I enjoyed the view from the room. The staff were accommodating and helpful. Property was convenient at location once arrived however, far from the airport. Surfing was available however, a lot of rocks and my son received a couple of cuts on his foot and hand unfortunately. I didn't like that there was no food (breakfast, lunch or dinner included). No meal plan available."

"I had a great stay. The location was perfect for me, close to town and beaches but just the right distance that it is quiet at night! Even had the chance to meet the owners and found we had a lot in common. I will book here again!"

"We liked that the pools were big, beautiful and clean. The beach was quiet and sandy. The staff were friendly. There was space in the condo for 5. We liked the heated pool on the beach as the other pools were quite cold. The kitchen was sufficiently supplied. We didn’t like the noise coming from next door due to poor insulation. The property is fairy new but aging quickly due to weather and poor upkeep. The AC units dripped when used for more than a few hours. We could have used some beach...

"The property, to no fault of their own, was very noisy due to construction directly across the street which meant we could not enjoy the pool. The manager was not around a lot, I had a complaint about people in the pool after midnight, they were smoking and drinking until after 1am but the manager was not around to tell. I would stay there again, but I would google map the area to see where the construction was taking place."

"We had a lovely stay complicated by a day without water Not the fault of the hotel but a pretty big inconvenience considering we spent our last day on a boat and did not come home till late to NOT have a shower or toilet to come home to or wake up to on our last day was difficult !!! The owner communicated as best they could, but it did dampen our stay. The room and the building were lovely ! Clean and tasteful and super convenient I would totally recommend and love the unit but hauling...

"Beautiful building with a great pool and wonderful views. The beach is totally rocky and impossible to pass unless the tide is out. The lack of sidewalks makes it almost impossible to walk anywhere. "The room was comfortable and well-appointed, with a fantastic view. The bed was super-comfortable. The meals were all excellent and there was lots of variety. Reservations weren’t required at the restaurants and we never had to wait to get in. The entertainment was spectacular, especially the circus show (although they could dial the volume down a notch from ear-splitting to just loud). We enjoyed the activities such as sea kayaking, volleyball, and pool exercise. The beach is uncrowded, beautiful with calm water, and you can take long walks, unlike many places in PV. We also took advantage of the spa and had great massages at a reasonable price. But the best part was the super-friendly, attentive, and competent staff. Although they were working hard, they seemed to be having so much fun that it was almost like they were fellow vacationers. Unfortunately, I have forgotten many of their names, but Kevin and Antonio on the activities staff, anf Henri on the waitstaff of the Mexican restaurant stand out. My only complaint was the loud music that played throughout the resort, often late into the night. This was especially true the first few days we were there. I guess it’s to be expected at a Hard Rock Hotel, but at times when we wanted to just enjoy the calm beach or relax and read by the pool it was distracting. Later in the week it wasn’t as much of a problem — I’m not sure if we just got used to it or it just varies throughout the week. All in all, we had a great time."

"We have been using this resort for 25 years because it is small, quiet, great staff, and relaxing. Yes, the property is a bit dated but the rooms are fine and the beds comfortable. We will continue to take our winter vacations here because we are happy here!"

Marival Emotions Resort & Suites Riviera Nayarit by Mercure

"This resort was beautiful, we were skeptical when we read other reviews but we were very happy with everything, the staff was awesome and very willing to help in every way they could. The Grand room we had was very clean and had a very nice view of the courtyard. Yes this resort is kid friendly however this did not affect how our trip went at all. The food was quite good despite the reviews being not great. We very much enjoyed the Las Palomas and Amalfi specialty restaurants for dinner. The Casa Bella buffet had a very good assortment for breakfast, lunch, and dinner as well. If we were craving a snack on the beach, La Bamba was the place to go, great Hamburgers and hot dogs with great side choices. The only thing foodwise that did not live up to our expectations was the Piazzetta dei Forni restaurant. The crust tasted cheaper and they put cut up hotdogs on some of them. Just for people looking at all of the different restaurants, if you book the all inclusive package, you do not have access to Mai Tai and Capriccio as they are for owners/VIP members. Everywhere else is free to eat at. Note to book at one of the specialty restaurants you need to wake up early and book them. All of the bars and swim up bars were amazing and had a different drinks of the day every day. The bartenders were very friendly and willing to make anything requested. Our trip was great and we have next to no complaints about Marival Emotions, would recommend to anybody with or without kids. "

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Loved the 3 large pools, two were heated. The beach was amazing. It's only a half hour walk to the shopping centre. The menus for the specialty restaurants was quite good. The buffet was excellent with different themes each day and a nice variety of dishes. The bed was very comfortable. The staff were kind and personable. We would definitely visit again!"
