"We could not have had a better holiday in Croatia than staying in Ivan and Ivanka’s lovely house with pool, not least as it was made even more special by their unbelievable hospitality. The house itself was excellent with all the equipment we could want, a great pool and a BBQ house with outdoor seating area and an upstairs shady patio as well. It is situated in a little village a few miles inland from Marina so a car is needed but it only takes about 10 minutes to get to Marina where there are a number of great restaurants. There is a small local shop in Gustirna village for bread and essentials and a bigger supermarket in Marina. It’s an excellent location to get to a wide range of places of interest too - Trogir is 20 minutes away, the airport only 26 minutes away, Split Old town is about 40 minutes away and Krka National Park under an hour away. The coastline in this area is superb with a number of small coastal villages with pretty, artificial small beaches lined with restaurants. Ivan and his wife were so welcoming and we benefitted from gifts of their own-grown fruit and vegetables, wine and grappa as well as their home produced dried figs and nuts. Nothing was too much trouble and Ivan’s mother even produced a whole tray of tray bakes on a local saint’s feast day! They could not have been kinder. Ivan gave us a great deal of information about the area and what to see, the best places to park and the best restaurants to eat in. We highly recommend staying here!"

"Unforgettable views! The two apartments are very clean and comfortable. The bedrooms and bathrooms are very compact. It's about 5 minutes' walk downhill to each of the beaches, beautiful clear water. The area is very quiet, one beach bar and one grocery shop. This was just perfect for us, no crowds. There is a coastal path round all the bays, for nice long walks, after all that lazing by the pool. We're already planning next year's visit!"

"We stayed at Villa Hileja as part of our holiday and by far and away it was the best part of our trip. From Day1 Ivan was great, trying to help us with issues with we’re going through before even arriving in Marina. Once there, he gave us tons of useful information and was always on hand if we had a question. The location of the villa is great, being close many beautiful towns and Ivan has recommendations of what to do, eat and even park. The villa itself was fantastic. Being 2 families with 5 children in total we had everything we needed to keep them entertained. The only thing that isn’t shown in the images is how the garden has developed. Ivan has planted a range of fruit and vegetables which you allow to consume if they are in season. We had grapes, figs, melons, peaches, peppers and tomatoes. Most of them daily. I would definitely recommend staying at this property."

"Our family stayed for a week and had a lovely time at cottage Maika. Very well equiped and excellent communication from the owner. The pool was fantastic and well needed in the August heat! The track up to the cottage is fairly narrow and steep and a bit scary the first time but we took it carefully and had now issues with a standard saloon car. We hired a boat for a day from Venisce charter which was fantastic to visit some nearby coves and beaches on the islands around us. We also visited Krka national park. All in all an excellent holiday enhanced by our stay at cottage Maika"

"A wonderful location out of the city, yet not far at all! The villa was a perfect choice for 8 adults. The views were spectacular and our host was very accommodating in helping me arrange a very special dinner party our second night in Croatia. We highly recommend this property!"
