Bed and Breakfast in Marlborough

"We booked this place early morning for two nights. It was a fantastic property and well equipped however the communication with someone that either works there or the owner was impossible. Terrible check in experience.( the only bad thing about the place) You require a code to get into to the property and the room. We never received any instructions and both phone numbers were automatically being transferred to voice mail. Also no response to several email. We waited in front of the property...

"Lovely property in beautiful location between beach and mountains. Easy drive into the town. Kevin, our host, provided delicious cooked breakfasts and was very entertaining with a great sense of humour. Our room and bathroom were spacious and had a lovely sitting area outside. We loved Kevin’s dogs and pigs."

"Stayed 3 nights at Annick House. Felt like our house from the start. Just safe, comfortable and convenient. Great hosts with history to Nelson. Fabulous fresh breakfast.Nick helped us tour, walking routes and taxis. Had great beer at his pub! Little Thai takeaway near his house had fresh dinners at reasonable price. Had our first NZ pie at downtown bakery.. too good. Nelson will be hard to beat."

"We think wacky stays with the farm animals is a great concept, especially for children. If choosing again, we would not take the yurt. The mouldy smell was overwhelming - didn't think it was due to the animal hair construction - I have done a lot of rough 3rd world (and 3rd class) travelling and this was not that smell. It was mould. The outdoor kitchen was pretty rugged and not particularly clean, but a fun element for summer. Some things didn't work - one side of electric blanket, lights in...

"The villa met all our expectations - and exceeded them! Very well appointed, every facility was good quality and in good condition. The garden is a little bit of heaven. Annie was very helpful and easy to communicate with. The kitchen had everything you could want and the provided breakfast was most welcome. We heartily recommend this property."

"4 Adults and 1 child. Only a quick stop over to go whale watching the next morning (very convenient). The host was lovely. The cottage was rustic but comfortable and cosy. We will need to try and come back and enjoy the activities on offer. Recommend +++"

"On the website I thought it was a Tee Pee in a farm paddock. But there are multiple accommodations on the farm so not as private as I thought! The Tee Pee was old & mouldy. The single beds were not suitable for adults. Too short. Even one bed base had mould on it. I lifted up my pillow to find a spider underneath. While styled with cowboy Indian theme it could of been done so much better. Rather tacky & tired. The bathroom was our life saver. It was lovely and only a few meters from the Tee Pee....
