Bed and Breakfast in Marlborough

"We booked this place early morning for two nights. It was a fantastic property and well equipped however the communication with someone that either works there or the owner was impossible. Terrible check in experience.( the only bad thing about the place) You require a code to get into to the property and the room. We never received any instructions and both phone numbers were automatically being transferred to voice mail. Also no response to several email. We waited in front of the property...

"We are a couple in our 50s and came to Blenheim to visit its renowned wineries. We stayed at the French Fields for 2 nights and it really exceeded all our expectations. If I could give it 6 stars I would. The location is super convenient for getting to the wineries. Our room was beautifully decorated, clean and comfortable. "What a gem of a find. Very clean and amazingly comfortable beds. Breakfast was second to none. Very friendly host. We only stayed for a night as travelling through but would have an extra night or two if we'd known how nice a stay this would be. Thank you "

"Stayed 3 nights at Annick House. Felt like our house from the start. Just safe, comfortable and convenient. Great hosts with history to Nelson. Fabulous fresh breakfast.Nick helped us tour, walking routes and taxis. Had great beer at his pub! Little Thai takeaway near his house had fresh dinners at reasonable price. Had our first NZ pie at downtown bakery.. too good. Nelson will be hard to beat."

"We think wacky stays with the farm animals is a great concept, especially for children. If choosing again, we would not take the yurt. The mouldy smell was overwhelming - didn't think it was due to the animal hair construction - I have done a lot of rough 3rd world (and 3rd class) travelling and this was not that smell. It was mould. The outdoor kitchen was pretty rugged and not particularly clean, but a fun element for summer. Some things didn't work - one side of electric blanket, lights in...

We love it warm, friendly atmosphere, the wonderful hosts, Dave and Helly, its location in the heart of Marlboro wine country, and the advice of the proprietors in things to see. "4 Adults and 1 child. Only a quick stop over to go whale watching the next morning (very convenient). The host was lovely. The cottage was rustic but comfortable and cosy. We will need to try and come back and enjoy the activities on offer. Recommend +++"

"A fantastic wee spot just moments outside Kaikoura. The wagon is truely sensational to stay in with incredible views over Mt Fyffe. We really enjoyed feeding the animals with our 23 month old son."

"We only spent one night in Nelson but we left wanting to stay longer. Mark and John are terrific hosts and make you feel so welcome, the house and gardens are fantastic both \have some amazing things to discover. Would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to visit Nelson."
