"Unfortunately it was only a one night stay for us but after staying we will absolutely plan a longer stay in the future. The room was super clean and we absolutely loved that the owner's supplied a historical overview binder of the property. They had a little beach area with a grill, kayaks and having access to the Weeki Wachee River gave you the option of being active or being completely still and just taking in all the natural beauty around you.HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! "

"Amazed with the cleanliness of the apartment and friendliness of the owners. The apartment is a converted barn/horse stalls and they did a great job making it feel like home away from home. The kitchen is fully equipped with microwave, toaster oven, coffee pot, and even a crock pot! We toured the sanctuary on our 2nd day and Dona’s passion for the animals shined as she told us about each one and her efforts to conserve some of the species she houses. We cannot wait to return."

"We arrived and had one issue, but our host was very quick to take care of the problem. I was very impressed with her care and compassion for our comfort. The location is perfect. There is a Publix, Walmart, Starbucks and eatery, in a 5 minute drive away. I did bring some baking tools and was able to bake cookies, granola and other tasty treats with ease. "This stay exceeded all expectations. The owner was attentive; she was always available for questions and aalso respected my privacy. "Duck Haven was the perfect getaway for my boyfriend and I. We were able to explore during the day and have a nice and cozy apartment to come back to at night. I loved being able to look out our window and see the sheep, and looking at the horses as we pulled up the driveway. Dona was a very accommodating host, and her tour of the sanctuary on the property was so interesting and fun!"

"Our 1st trip to the river and it did not disappoint. This house is located around the corner from a public ramp and boat rental place. In addition to kayaking, we also rented a skiff and went east up the river for the day for about $125. Tina's place is a great space for family to enjoy. The house has a fully stocked kitchen with plenty of spices. Host is very responsive as well! We hope to book again soon. "
