Also well worth visiting the Zollverein works.we were able to cycle to Gelsenkirchen and back easily. We didn’t meet Vera but all communication was very straightforward. "This hotel is in a great location near a bus stop and so easy to get to the train station. The room had a kitchenette with a separate living room/ dining area. It was well stocked with cups, plates and cookware. My only complaint is that there were no screens on the windows so we had a few visiting mosquitoes.
