Deerwood-private, cozy cabin in the woods

Deerwood Cabin is the coziest little spot tucked into the woods just minutes from Mentone and DeSoto State Park. Rustic features with all the modern conveniences. Perfect for two with King bedroom but there's space for a couple more on the futon couch in the living room too! Fully stocked kitchen including mini dishwasher and vintage inspired refrigerator and microwave. Inviting front porch, screened back porch and back deck are all amazing spots to watch the deer that frequently pass thru the yard! Wood burning fireplace, outdoor fire pit and charcoal grill make this the spot to relax, surrounded by nature!
Mentone offers artist & antique shops and restaurants. Nearby activities include golf, DeSoto State Park, Little River Canyon National Preserve, horseback riding, hiking along rivers & waterfalls. This adorable space is also pet friendly with a $65 pet fee. Please note that it does not have a fenced yard, so you will need to bring a leash for walks.

Great stay
I had a wonderful stay. The cabin providing up on the firewood was a godsend. This was a perfect place for a weekend getaway. It was very peaceful, and was very close to lots of walking trails. On Saturday I went to the local farmers market and got a bunch of yummy produce.

Loved our stay
Loved this cabin and the location. We had two full days to enjoy the area and some eating places. We loved Wildflower Cafe and The Hatter Cafe. Our cabin was a perfect drive into town. We enjoyed the back screened in porch , especially when it rained during the late afternoon and evening. I highly recommend this cabin and a visit to Mentone šŸ˜ŠšŸ˜Š

Perfect

Superb Rental Priperty
House is exactly as described and in pictures. Clean, organized, and everything in working order. This house is deep in the woods with only 1 other house nearby. Property is serine and private. Host has exceptional communication. Highly recommend this property.

Peaceful and comfortable, perfect get away
We were only there for 3 nights. Those were 3 fabulous nights. By day we hiked and explored. Evening came and we relaxed and listened to the night sounds. So peaceful. The cabin is well appointed. The cabin is clean. It was an absolute pleasure working with Holly. She made sure everything was taken care of for us and we truly enjoyed our stay at Deerwood.

Quiet forest retreat
This is a beautiful , secluded cabin in the woods. We felt like we were alone in the forest- no neighbors in sight till you walk down to the road. The front porch is unique- mountain theme and the supports are real trees. The backyard has a nice fire ring and nothing but trees in sight. The inside has a country- chic/ retro decor with a large stone fireplace. The kitchen is well- equipped for cooking. The location is near state parks and trails We enjoyed leaf peeping along the Little River Canyon Pky and were amazed by the massive boulder formations in Mentone called The Citadel. For live music, we enjoyed Vintage 1889 Restaurant in Ft Payne Note- local restaurants keep strange hours here and arenā€™t open 7 days/ week. Plan on grocery shopping in Ft Payne at Food City and Bruceā€™s Food Land.

Wonderful cabin in the woods
A lovely little cabin tucked back in the woods. It was so comfy and had everything we needed. It is close to lots of hiking trails, Little River Canyon, DeSoto National Park and downtown Mentone. Our 2 standard poodles loved running through the woods around the cabin. Our host was very attentive to our needs and questions. Iā€™m looking forward to going back sometime in the future.

Absolutely wonderful.
Nice get away spot for couples. Secluded enough in the woods but not to far from town. Really enjoyed the stay. Spent most of the time there on the back porch listening to the rain fall and watching the wildlife roam the the woods. Would highly recommend staying here.
