"This is one of the best properties I have ever stayed at. We stayed at the lodge. It has been completely updated, but the rooms are still very small. The room was functional though. There was a refrigerator, but no microwave. There was a microwave to use down the hall. There are no bad views from the lodge as far as I could tell. "We loved our short stay at the Inn and Tavern at Meander! The grounds are peaceful and beautiful and the Washington Cottage was very cute and nicely decorated. "The property is located in a very beautiful and secluded part of Virginia. All cabins are nestled within the trees and our unit had a lovely tree shaded deck. "The apartment was spacious, super clean, and the host was nice and responsive. However, the kitchen is not super well equipped (for example there is only one mug, only one knife, no cutting boards, only one small pot and one small pan, etc.) and there are a list of rules that are not advertised when booking such as no alcohol, quiet hours, no eating in bed, taking shoes off at entrance etc. The check in process was ok except we did not get check in info until after 3 which caused some confusion....
