The outdoor patio area was vety basic, and as the sun was bearing down hard on the patio and our room, we could not sit outside and enjoy the evening there (as we'd anticipated). "This property is a real back to basics. We've been to lovely hotels and B&Bs but this stay gave us the true rest we were looking for. We were met by Tom, who is a true gentleman, he showed us around and had baked fresh bread for us with butter, milk and breakfast waiting. No oven or cooktop but the bbq was adequate. Chooks visited each day and the paddocks, with the cows in, were only metres from the French doors. Not for everyone but it rejuvenated our souls. We are going back to stay again....

"Clean and tidy house. Lovely location really close to Martinborough. Might be a bit cold in winter because it’s so huge, but there are two open fires as well as heaters, and wood provided so could be nice and cozy too once fired up. Hot tub is an inflatable one and smallish, but still lovely to have. "
