"This is a purpose built hotel on edge of town, close by the motorway. There is an outdoor car park. Some building work was in progress but, other than closing the outdoor pool and surrounding area, this had no impact on our stay. There is also a small(ish) indoor pool and gym. There were English speaking staff on reception, at bar and in the restaurant. The bar was nice with good, very helpful, barman. "The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff were lovely and helpful. The simple breakfast for 3.5 euros was ideal to get us going. The only problem was that we stayed on a Monday which meant that there were no restaurants open and we had to drive 5km down the road. We didn’t get to see Simancas. There is some road noise but it did not disturb our sleep.We will probably stay again if we have the same ferry timings."
