"Room was large, quiet and included a kitchen to cook dinner or breakfast. We got food at town grocery store to cook for both meals. Connor at check in was friendly and provided lots of info. Fox Glacier is a small quiet town. We enjoyed staying here."

"We only stayed a short night. We messaged the property about swapping two separate spaces for one two bedroom with kitchenette and living room. They were extremely responsive via messaging and helpful and generous with our last minute request. The deck was covered and perfect to experience the rainforest in the rain. There is a walk down to a cool beach and if not pouring down rain the sunset would be great. We sincerely appreciated the customer care and support."

"Far and away my favorite place I stayed in New Zealand. We arrived after check-in, but they were super accommodating and kind when we called. The rooms were so spacious and nice, I wish we stayed longer. Exactly the place you want to land if you have spent a long day traveling. The breakfast was also delicious, and the folks working there were very kind and helpful when we had questions about the area."

"I enjoyed the mountain view from my motel room. I saw glacier, snow on the tip of the mountain, it was amazing. Room was clean, neat and tidy. All good."

"Friendly staff, let us check in early, park right outside room, laundry nearby with free detergent, large clean room with fully stocked kitchen. We ate dinner one night at the Hermitage Hotel and preferred this hotel and were glad we didnt pick Hermitage to stay at because this motel felt quieter and more easily accessible. It was the best choice in Mt Cook for us. The only improvement would be that it's a row of motel rooms and some, like ours, had some of the mountain views blocked by other motel rooms. It seemed one row of rooms had unobstructed views of Mt Cook mountains, so I'm not sure how to request one of those rooms, but it would have been an even better stay than our already pretty great stay if i had booked one of those rooms. Highly recommend this motel."
