Enjoy the sound of the birds among the trees

Five minutes walk to the centre of town, this charming fully-furnished family home is set among trees in a quiet location across the road from Gleeson Park. This reserve is mainly lawn and trees with a small playground for children, and is suitable for family games and picnics ... bring your badminton net!
Designed and built by an architect in the 1960s, the quirky home has many interesting features including a narrow sky-view strip that runs the length of the roof. Very little has been modified over the years, apart from the original balcony. This was completely rebuilt (2017) to comply with modern building-safety standards.
The master bedroom upstairs has a small bridge that leads across to an elevated private garden with fruit trees.
While the main bathroom has a shower, toilet and bath, upstairs there's a second toilet with hand basin.
Being a chalet style with open stairs, our holiday home is not ideally suited for wee toddlers or the infirm.
Off street parking is available for up to three vehicles.
Special conditions:
Minimum stay 2 nights.
$190 per night for 2 adults, plus $10 per night per extra person.

Smoking allowed outside only.

Extras: Linen (included); Free Wifi (included);Sky TV. (included)
NOTE: Under Kiwi Bach tradition you are expected to leave the Bach in a tidy condition.

Quirky on Faraday
Great property, just be aware both internal staircases have no railings, and steps to washing line are definitely not suitable for anyone walking with a stick! Host lives on site, friendly and helpful. Good location- Faraday Museum well worth a visit.

Quirky but Creaky!
Good location for us, only minutes from town centre. The house was warm and comfortable and the beds were fine. It have everything that we needed plus. It is a multi level wooden house so quite creaky when you're moving around it. Our host was next door and very pleasant.

We loved our stay
The host is very accommodating, and our stay was nice. If you are like me and have the best bed in the world, then you will notice that the beds here are far from it, but I still went out like a light when my head hit the pillow and got plenty of sleep. In our party, we had myself and my partner, and 3 friends who slept in different rooms. We found the place was very spacious and wasn't cramped at all. Would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for a place for 4 or more people.

Relaxing getaway
We were a group of 5 friends running in the Hawkes Bay 10km. The house is conveniently located to Napier shops and the Marine Parade. It had everything we needed, including a one button gas fire place. Good afternoon sun and we felt relaxed and cozy here. The decor and fittings are dated but for comfy beds and a cheap and cheerful getaway it was ideal for us. Ron was excellent to deal with.

A relaxing place to be
A quirky home which was a pleasure to stay in. Suitable for those who can cope with stairs as there are two long flights of stairs. A large open plan kitchen/dining/lounge which was well used during our stay. Everything we needed, and more, was provided making this the perfect place to stay for our two day minibreak. We did not park in the driveway as it looked a bit tricky to reverse out of and instead chose to park on the side of the road.
