Following a gorgeous design aesthetic with a modern kitchen space for you and the family to spread out and have fun prepping meals, a selection of ski inspired decor and a classic wooden exterior that gives the home that classic ski resort-like feeling.

Outside on the deck sheltered from the elements, you'll find a gorgeous outdoor dining area and of course a BBQ for you to enjoy a few classic kiwi dishes during your stay. Inside you'll find a fireplace to keep you toasty on those chillier nights and of course a spacious drying room for the wet ski gear to be ready for the next adventure-filled day!

Enjoy this fantastic location with close proximity to all the major attractions. Approximately a 20-minute drive away you'll find Whakapapa where you can walk up to the ski mountain. And just a few minutes walk away from home, you have the shuttle service which heads up to the world-famous Tongariro Crossing!

Whether you want to test your skills on the slopes, hikes the ranges of Tongariro or just sit back and admire the views from your backyard - Lykkebu has you covered!

Cosy and warm
We really enjoyed our stay here. Very warm with the fire going, great bunk rooms and lovely bathrooms with awesome shower water pressure. Perfect for 2 young families

Amazing spot for visiting local attractions, exceptionally clean and very well equipped. Great communication from a very friendly property manager. We all thoroughly enjoyed staying in this cosy little place and have already been planning our next trip. Would highly recommend to families.

Aesthetically beautiful and very functional
This house was well appointed with everything we needed and also had a beautiful aesthetic down to every last detail. Our group of 9 (2 families and one friend) enjoyed the cozy space with the comfy sofas and beds and warm fireplace. The custom made drying rack over the fire place was very handy. Thanks!

Property was clean, comfortable and well equipped
Property was clean, comfortable and well equipped. Close to local amenities. There was an ample supply of firewood which we ended up needing in the evening even though it was summer. We couldn't get the heat transfer system to work so it was a bit cold in the bedrooms but duvets were nice and warm. We found the ladders to the bunk beds difficult, so wouldn't recommend for anyone other than agile youths. Would definitely stay there again.
