Gruene River Guest House - On The Guadalupe


The Gruene River Guest House a great location to experience all that the New Braunfels & Gruene area have to offer. Situated on 5 beautiful acres of open green space with 300 feet of Guadalupe River frontage it is the perfect location for family reunions, corporate events, small intimate weddings or any group gathering of up to 20 people. The Gruene River Guest House features 4 separate guest suites with 5 bedrooms which sleep 20 in total each with their own private entrance, smart TV w/streaming cable and individual AC/Heat. The outdoor Cantina consist of a large covered kitchen and dining area with a huge propane grill, stove burners, ice machine, refrigerator, refrigerated drawers, microwave, and sink. It has a 70" large screen outdoor TV, bluetooth enabled loud speaker and sound bar, multiple hot weather fans, hot weather misting system, cold weather propane patio heater, propane fired fire table, a 10 foot long cedar plank bar and a wide array of lighting. There is a large deck shaded with large old oak and pecan trees, and last but not least a beautiful private swimming pool. Along the river front there are huge ancient cypress trees towering over a private river landing for toobing, kayaking, fishing, or just hanging out in the river and a beautiful Gazebo perfect for a romantic riverside wedding or picnic by the rapids. In the open 5 acres there is a volleyball net as well as a volleyball net for the swimming pool and an outdoor ping pong table. A golf cart is available for rent to tool around the property and allow easy access to the river. Toobs and kayaks are available for guest use. On summer weekends multiple Guest House water cannons shoot water into the air at the riverfront to cool passing by toobers. All in all something for everybody!

There are 4 suites each with their own private entrance:

Farmhouse: The original house built in 1948 has a living room with a large screen cable TV, dining area, fully stocked kitchen, 2 bedrooms each with a queen size bed, cable TV and 2 baths. Sleeps 4.

Texas Room: Texas themed room with a king size bed, cable TV, kitchenette and private bath. Sleeps 2.

Garden Room: Light and airy suite with 2 queen beds, cable TV, kitchenette and private bath. Sleeps 4.

Paris Room: Bunk house type suite with 4 queen beds and a sleeper sofa, cable TV w/DVD collection, dining area, kitchenette, and private bath. Perfect for kids. Sleeps 10.

Washer/dryer available in the Farm House.

Plenty of parking on site for groups.

Golf cart available for rental to explore the property.

Daily reservations for individual suites booked separately from the main house can be considered within 1 week of anticipated stay.

Loved our stay. The only problem we had was that the hot tub did not reach the set temperature. We planned the trip with friends to watch the solar eclipse. Even though we only saw clouds, we had a fun time at the rental where everything was provided and in the best condition.

Amazing place
From the moment you get there, you realize that you’ve just made a great decision. The pecan trees, oak trees are stunning. The back patio/ pool / grill area is perfect. Ton of space to cook, etc… The whole property lights up at night, which makes for a great walk or a slow golf cart ride down to the river and gazebo area. I will rent this place again, so much fun and close to everything. Y’all made my 50th birthday party a memorable one.

What a great find were the remarks I heard pretty much all weekend. Plenty of room for our group of ~16 girls. River access was perfect, pool was amazing and the house was beautiful. The owners could not have been more helpful and accessible.

Perfect! Only things that could make it better is a pool bathroom toilet and a bigger living room in which to gather. The river is the best 👌. The pool was the highlight! Everyone who came left absolutely happy and joyous that they experienced this small haven on earth. Thank you for and awesome time to the owners!

Amazing house!
We had a great time at this property. Perfect for the whole family. Both kids and adults had a great time at the river and swimming in the pool, the property has everything you need! Beautiful property!
This is the second year we have stay at this place. The house is beautiful, very well maintained and well stocked. There is good river access, a comfortable outdoor cooking area and a pool. The owners are very accommodating and easy to contact if anything is needed. We came with our whole family including five grandchildren. Enough room to give everyone their own space with privacy. We will definitely book again.

Our stay was absolutely perfect. The pictures on the website do not do it justice. The rooms and all amenities were ideal for everyone who stayed. Plenty of room, the pool was amazing and the convenience of the river made the overall stay an A+. The property owners met us there to greet us and give us an overview and were in communication throughout our entire stay. If we had a question, they quickly responded or stopped by to help us out. I cannot say enough great things about this place and the owners!

Everything about the photos are absolutely accurate. Great spot for a big group to stay in new Braunfels. 10 out of 10. The only thing I would say that you should know, is that the Paris room that can hold 10 guests has a bathroom that does not lock. Plan accordingly and you’ll be happy with your stay!

Great house and property for a guys weekend. Plenty of beds, and big outdoor area to bbq and watch sports. Great access to the river and plenty of tubes and kayaks for us to float. Highly recommend and plan to stay again in the near future.
