Extremely Disappointing
No privacy! Window covering fell during first night. Called customer service stated maintenance wouldn’t be in until after 12pm. I asked for a expected time for repair, they could not give that to me. It was not fixed that day nor during the rest of my stay. My room was on the front of the building and street light was shining into my window the entire time. I was extremely tired each day and couldn’t fully rest. Room is completely open to the bathroom shower, therefore I was forced to shower with no privacy or go without. I asked for another room and was told there was not one available. There was only one working elevator that took an extremely long time and was quite frankly unreliable due to power flickering throughout hotel and moving while doors where still open. Almost everyone chose to take the stairs which was exhausting on top of the lack of sleep. Another issue was no access to the rooftop. The only elevator for that was broken and it was locked from the staircase, it stunk! This again added to our frustration bc if I wanted to go outside, I couldn’t safely do that without my husband having to accompany me downstairs and outside on the sidewalk in a town we are not from. Our entire trip became so miserable we were very grateful to be moving to a hotel in town for the remainder of the trip. We have chosen to stay here during our previous trip to New Orleans and even recommended this place to many coworkers who stayed, and now I am embarrassed!! This was horrible!

“Dog Friendly” but charges ridiculous cleaning fee for pets
I find it to be extremely infuriating that this property is allowed to list themselves as “pet friendly” but charges a ridiculous cleaning fee ontop of the cleaning fee you’re already paying for… how is that pet friendly? That’s pet predatory; especially as it isn’t made clear in the initial booking. The place had pretty much no amenities while wanting to be a hotel. No coffee, no place to buy alcohol, no silverware or utensils. It seems as though they’re also ready to fee you over anything that they can. They literally had a “noise monitor” in my room that would be signaled if there were any loud noises so they could also fee you for “noise disturbance”… I hated being here; it was pompous and posh and felt like I was under a microscope to be fee’d for any reason they could possibly find.
