This homey, laid-back, two-bedroom Newport vacation rental is a beach retreat with a lot going for it. All on one level, this Oregon Coast getaway is perfect for the whole family! You'll have a wood-burning fireplace for chilly evenings, WiFi, cable, even a peek at the ocean right from the living room windows. And you don't have to leave your furry family members behind when you stay here, it's even dog-friendly.

Conveniently tucked away in Newport's historic Deco District, both the bustling bayfront and scenic Nye Beach neighborhoods are just a short 15 walk away in opposite directions. Or, right from this charming Hill Villa, the beach is just a couple of blocks to the west.

When you're back from a fun-filled day around town, this Newport retreat is filled with comfortable, beachy furnishings and everything you'll need to feel right at home! From the large picture windows in the living room, you can look out at tree tops and a small view of the Pacific Ocean. In the evenings, throw a log on the fire, sit back on the couch, and watch cable or a DVD.

A dining room table shares this open space, so when you sit down for a meal you can continue to enjoy the fireplace's ambiance or something on TV. In the full kitchen, all major appliances are present and accounted for (including a dishwasher) and out on the deck, there's an extra seating area and a gas grill. You can grill up some fish or steaks and even dine al fresco if you'd like.

The perfect set up for a family vacation, the two bedrooms at this Newport vacation home have a king bed and two twins, sleeping four guests. Both rooms have lovely wood beamed ceilings, plush carpeting, and cozy, snugly bedding. The twin room has deck access and a large stuffed animal collection - perfect for the kids!

Dogs are welcome (though a nightly fee per dog and minimum fee per stay will apply). There is also a laundry room with a full-sized washer and dryer and a full bathroom with tub/shower combination. Other amenities include a collection of board games, and a stereo with a CD player.

This spot right on the North Oregon coast is just a few blocks from Yaquina Bay State Recreation Area, as well as just south of Agate Beach State Park, Agate Beach Golf Course, and the Yaquina Head Outstanding Natural Area. Here you can explore tide pools, set out for a hike on the walking trails, tour the lighthouse, or head down to Cobble Beach and its shoreline of unique black round rocks known as cobbles.

After a day out on the beach or golfing, come back to your Newport beach cottage to make a home-cooked meal. Or on nights you don't feel like doing any work, just head to one of Newport's popular eateries. In Nye Beach there's Aprils, Nana's Irish Pub, Cafe Mundo, and the Chowder Bowl. And if you wander down to the bayfront area, you'll have even more choices - Local Ocean, Saffron Salmon, and Rogue Ale's Public House to name a few. And no trip to Newport would be complete without a day spent wander the ocean exhibits at the Oregon Coast Aquarium, just a short drive across the historic Yaquina Bay Bridge.

Spend a few days or even a week or two at this cozy and charming Oregon Coast vacation rental! The whole family will feel right at home in Newport and you'll be perfectly located to enjoy all that this popular beach community has to offer.

Great place for the price
This house has a fun old beach vibe and even though the furniture and carpet are really old the beds are very comfortable with good quality sheets. The house was also spotless so for the price it was great!

Great location for exploring Newport
This house was comfortable and well stocked. The driveway is steep and narrow. But Tim managed to get our full size Tundra up and down successfully.

Cosy Getaway
Quiet spot just a short walk to Nye Beach. As other reviews have said it is a quirky spot with a ton of nick nacks, but everything you need is there. It took a little bit to find which lightswitch went to which light and locate the space heater. Also, had to buy firewood, tender and a lighter to use the fireplace. But it is a nice add to have a fireplace available.

Cold and moldy
Because of negative reviews, we specifically asked if there was heat in every room and they said there was, controlled by thermostats. The only thermostat-controlled heat was in the dining/living room. The heat in the master bedroom did not work at all. As a consequence, the carpet is moldy. It actually made us ill and I slept on the single in the other room and my partner on the sofa. There is a space heater, but because the room is not consistently heated mold grows - actually the whole house is kept so cold it took us two days to get it livable. The location is ok and might be fine in summer, but it is not good for winter. Check out was confusing - no details, and then a text after I'd left implying we were late leaving. If they wanted a specific action from us, they should have told us what was expected. I was also surprised and not pleased to see a separate charge of $141 on my credit card for VRBO on top of what I paid Vacasa.

Comfy home
The house was perfect for us. A little dated and could use some updating and less clutter, but comfy. Well stocked kitchen. Bed was comfortable and going to sleep to the sound of the ocean was great. Would stay again.

Comfy Place, easy walk to beach and restaurants
The place is older with tons of chatchkis, kind of like staying at grandmas house. But it wa clean, had beds for 4 and was convenient to beach and restaurants.. Kitchen utensils were pretty worn out but we didn’t really cook much anyway.

Freezing cold house
The house was freezing cold! There is no heat in the master bedroom, the baseboard heater doesnt turn on so you have to use a dangerous portable heater to use i found in the closet. But it gets so hot i had to worry about my dogs touching it and getting burnt and no mention in the listing that there was not heat in the master bedroom! The entire house stays cold there is only one source of heat its in the living room its a mini split and they have taped off the functions that help warm up the house like the power blower button, but i used it anyway! I'm not going to stay 4 days and be so cold!!! The bathroom is freezing as well and the towels are old and torn and fraid! The road to the driveway is washed out and rough so if you don't have a 4 wheel drive you can't get over that. The reclining chair is broken! I have a bad back and choose this place do to being able to recline yet when you do it falls forward to the floor doesnt recline back etc. Its obvious the owners could care less about your comfort or how much your paying to stay, i would have been more comfortable in a hotel! I'll never stay in this house again!

Very dated. More than the pictures show
Road up is very hard to get over. If you have low profile car you won’t make it. Too much clutter. Dishwasher full upon arrival. Multiple lighting fixtures either missing nobs or not working. Towels were rough and some frayed. Kitchen garbage TINY had to use bag.

Quiet and private location up on a hill with 5 min walk to beautiful beach. Nice veranda with ocean view. House is a bit worn but clean enough and quite charming. Owners might consider changing carpets and some lighting fixtures, and removing some of the hundreds of gaudy decorations. Safeway and Fred Meyers are 5 min drive away, so easy to shop groceries and prepare food in grill on veranda or kitchen, although the electrical coils on top of the stove were laughably askew. It's nice tha they let dogs stay, but I believe they charged about $100 extra per night for that which is a bit pricey, but our dog was happy and loved the beach!
