The space
The Cottage dates back to the 1700's and was originally a tavern for the labourers to live in. The house belonged originally to the Kilbroney estate. The Cottage has been modernised and updated to provide a spacious but cosy luxurious living space to relax and chill. It has 4 double bedrooms including a family bedroom, 3 bathrooms with all mod cons and is situated in the centre of the Village close to the Fairy Glen in an area of outstanding beauty. Guest access
The property has 3 double bedrooms one with a king size bed and 2 rooms with double beds. In addition there is a 4th bedroom which is a family room with a double bed and 2 single beds that sleeps up to 4 people. In total the property sleeps a maximum of 10 guests.
It is vital when guests book the property they clearly state how many guests are staying to facilitate bed linen, towels etc. The house includes the following:
Two reception rooms;
3 bathrooms;
Kitchen dinning areas;
Utility room with washer/dryer
Gardens front and rear.
Other things to note
House rules. No pets allowed. No smoking inside the Cottage. Expectation is that the Cottage is left in good order. There is no requirement for guests to strip bedding. Communication and transparency is very important to me so any difficulties that arise please let me know so we can sort out at an early stage. Honesty when booking is expected in terms of the number of guests staying. Bedrooms not booked will not be accessible. Strictly no parties, stag or hen events allowed or use of candles at the property.
Refuge bins are kept out side the rear of the property. Blue bin for cardboard plastic containers and tins. General refuge goes into the black bins and food and garden waste in the Brown bin. Refuge collection is every Friday. Always secure windows and doors prior to leaving the Cottage. Wifi code is in the app for guests convenience. There is externally remote lighting in the rear garden operated via a remote control kept on the glass cabinet in the rear reception room. There is a downstairs utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer for guests use. Please remove any foods from fridge or freezer prior to leaving.
There are two wood burning stoves in the property these are available to use in winter time (logs provided) please use kiln dried wood for burning only should you wish to buy additional logs. Any other fuels will damage the stoves. There is under floor heating in the large rear reception area, utility and downstairs shower room. This is operated via the thermostat on the rear reception room wall. The main house heating system is operated from the front reception room time clock. 1 is ground floor zone and 2 upstairs zone. You can press these once for 1 hour twice for 2 hours and thrice for 3 hours this will ensure guests are warm the temperature can be controlled by the separate thermostat below the time clock in the front reception room and in the rear upstairs bedroom for upstairs.
