"So much was excellent. The value for money is spot on and even though the restaurant is pricey for Portugal, it's still very good value. Breakfast was far more than we'd expected, especially after some poor offerings elsewhere. Fresh cake, cereal, meat, cheese, scrambled eggs, tea, coffee, yoghurt, fruit, juice, etc. Only suggestion to Sever would be to tidy it up a bit in places - outside litter pick, replace odd bits of tatty furniture (our bed frame and one shelf), strengthen the WiFi...

"What an exceptional spot! Marvao is incredible. The pousada is in a perfect location, and overlooking the plains below, it has a fabulous view. Our room, although small, was quite commodious and had historic traditional Portuguese furniture. Our dinner and breakfast were most enjoyable, although the dinner was not “gourmet”. Would we stay there again? Absolutely."

"This is a lovely small hotel to stay in the walled village. You can park right in front which is a huge plus. We booked a triple room and it was spacious. I think the others are on the small side. Everything was spotless! Comfy bed with soft sheets. Our room was cold and it turned out our heat didn't work, but there were balnkets in the closet and that did the trick. Had a bowl of the traditional tomato soup for dinner and it was hearty and delicious!"

"The hotel is conveniently located just a few minutes walk from the Castelo de Vide. The building is dated but everything is very clean and tidy. The room we stayed in was very basic. Few electrical outlets, no cupboards or drawers for our clothes and poor lighting, but the heating worked and the shower was wonderful. The breakfast served was outstanding. This hotel is good value for the money."
