"We had a great time at Basecamp! We love the adventure motel vibe, there is a warm & welcoming common area with a fire & coffee, tea & hot chocolate. Great location, very walkable to the restaurants, shops & cafe in Tahoe City. There's a little slice of Lake Tahoe from the parking lot (the weather was storming so not sure about the view from the top deck). "Ed was very friendly and welcoming upon arrival. The room was much bigger than we expected, and had a microwave and mini fridge. It's right across from a public beach and pier which was beautiful, there is also a restaurant. We also enjoyed the cafe down the street for breakfast. Great proximity to Northstar, we will definitely stay here again!"

"We booked a last minute room here as we were snowboarding at Palisades. 15 mins away with no traffic (about 25 in the traffic at 4-5pm). The room had a bedroom with a king bed and a sofa in the main room. It just fit my family of 5, but with 2 teens on the sofa pullout and my 9yo daughter in the king bed with us. Overall, it functioned well enough for a great price. It's next door to Safeway, CVS, and many food options, which was convenient when it snowed heavily and didn't want to drive. The...
