"This hostel is located right across the street from the blackwater rafting company who we booked our adventure tour of the glow worm caves with. The hostel is near quiet farm property. We booked a room that had a private bathroom. It was clean and perfect for our stay. The main room and kitchen was welcoming with a fire going keeping the hostel comfortable. "Location was great, like 1~2 mins away from the closest seashore and we can see the sunset! Town centre is also in 1 min, which was good. Only what I wished is the Wi-Fi connection. Connection was good in the Lounge but not strong enough once getting in to the room. "

"Enjoyable stay at Avon Apartments. The occupants in the next unit were not very considerate as they made considerable noise early in the morning, however it was still a positive experience overall. We didn't realise that the chiefs were playing at nearby FMG Stadium until we arrived back to find all of the street parking was occupied. Luckily there was still an off street parking space available."
