Vintage with modern touches by the sea

9.6 out of 10, Exceptional, (158)
"The photos don’t do this place justice. The furnishings and general comfort were better than we expected. Great for our 3 generation whānau with welcome books and toys for the kids (2 & 5). Well located close to the beautiful beach. My only question is the rate - it seems high for a small South Taranaki town that’s not an in-demand holiday destination. "

"Barbwire Bach has everything you need to enjoy its location with the added bonus of having access to their boxing gym. The kids absolutely loved it. Overlooking Opunake Lake and with the beach an enjoyable 3 minute walk away - or longer if the kids want to climb the pohutukawa trees and play on the playground, I have no hesitation in recommending Barbwire Bach and hope to stay again."
