"Hard to find any fault. Spacious rooms with air conditioning, which is useful in mid-summer in Whakatane. The double-glazing means that the rooms are pretty quiet inside, no traffic noise or noise from other guests in adjacent rooms. We used the kitchen, and the jet-bath. Handy spot for Ōhope beach. The traffic does build up in the middle of Whakatane in the peak of summer, but the hotel is handy to the gorge road for a quick exit if you are going in that direction."
