"Second time staying here and although the weather was, again, less than great, it was still a great time and the units and overall space are still really well maintained. Surat Bay is accessible and, further along, so is cannibal bay. Owaka nearby is also a lovely spot for an hour or two, with a solid restaurant, great coffee place, superb book shop and quaint little museum and community space. It is a beautiful spot, far from the world where all you'll hear are birds, the sea and wind moving through water ... And rain! Lots of rain! But without the rain, you wouldn't get that lush kiwi green."

"The room we had was well set up with just about anything needed for kitchen supplies. The view from the kitchen and balcony was spectacular. We were very comfortable here and would happily stay longer next time."

"Exactly what we needed. Stayed two nights. Took dog with us. Property presented very clean and warm, comfy bed and a great location. A park across the road and a 2min stroll to the beach. A great base for us to explore the area. Will definitley be back, thank you for having us. Thomas"

"Ray was very friendly and welcoming. The room was comfortable and warm. Didn’t realise it was separate from the bathroom although that was in the description. No sign of a hot tub? Would be better in the summer to enjoy the deck."

"We were looking for country experiences on our trip to NZ and this was a great stop with a very friendly host. Ray was watching for us at the driveway to his quaint setting. Beautiful flowers and trees nestled near a river with pastures of sheep. Ray offered alot of info regarding nearby sites and lifestyle in his part of NZ. The property is small and separate rooms for fridge and kitchen/bathroom which is detailed on his site."
