"Nice, simple room that is somewhat spartan but quite beautiful with views of the giant ferns. It was a little chilly but manageable with the in-room space heater. The hosts were really good with communication and very polite and helpful. I would caution anyone arriving at night because there is no visible signage or address number. Read the arrival instructions carefully as it was really difficult to find after dark until we started counting driveways. The other caveat relates to parking, ...

"We found the place because it was close to the venue of a wedding we were attending. It was super cute and spacious. We stayed with 3 kids and the beach chairs/toys were lovely to have. Everything at the property was well labeled and little bonus snacks and extra sunscreen was great. The property owner lives upstairs and is super responsive with any question or concern. She even sent us a little note when a large rainbow appeared over the ocean one day! "

It made me worried about how I could accommodate both of us. At the end my 2nd person got ill and couldn’t come, so I used the one unit Nane."

"Elaine and Carter’s studio was perfect for my wife and I when visiting Volcanoes NP and Hilo. We spent I full day and 3 evenings in the National Park and 1 day exploring the beaches and waterfalls near Hilo. The studio was clean, well appointed and gated. Elaine and Carter were friendly and welcoming. We will definitely stay there again in our next visit!"

"There were definite highs and lows to this property. The rooms were very clean and there was great entertainment options (games available to play) and lots of beds, which is what we wanted. However, we really wanted the hot tub which this property advertised, but was clearly not being uproot or available for use. There was one line in the posting, that the water is not drinkable. I applaud that this property is so green, but it was somewhat inconvenient for utilizing water. The biggest complaint...

"Beautiful gardens and lovely accomodations. Clean and colorful unit with everything we needed. Proximity to south point was great for partner to go fishing off the shore. No AC, but weather is cooler and great breeze coming through house. Evenings were filled with frogs singing. Host was very welcoming and helpful. Would love to stay here again."

"Very clean & nicely decorated, however would sacrifice adorement for more functional surfaces. No normal upholstered chairs & kitchenette very difficult to function in. Internet marginal for working vacationers & didn't recall ceiling height in loft being mentioned (too low to stand up) Hot tub was a real bonus yet having dry towels was a challenge. Great location for National Volcano Park but pretty far from beaches."

"My husband and I felt this property was the perfect fit. It was peaceful and scenic. The condo had a delightful ocean view and you could hear the waves crashing on the lava shores.
