Bed and Breakfast in Pahoa

"We stayed in this home for the full month of March 2025. We rated this a 10 based on our top three requirements: next to the ocean, clean, comfortable beds. This home met all three requirements. The ocean with its spectacular crashing waves, stunning views, and swimming turtles was wonderful. The sound of the waves at night along with the comfortable bed made for excellent sleeping. The home was clean and the two new area rugs were a nice update. However, as others have noted, this home would benefit from additional updates. For example, the couch is very uncomfortable. Our inquiries via email were answered promptly. Overall, we enjoyed our stay."

"We loved the house and its close setting to the shore, where you could see sunrise, big waves, dolfins and turtles. The area of rainforest and fresh lava fields is amazing. So spend a few more nights on Big Island and visit that spot! Its absolutely worth it."

"Great stay and enjoyed every aspect of the home itself. Lava flows were cool to explore but took away from the traditional ‘beach experience’. That’s the only concern we had… driving to actual sand beaches. Again, minor detail for our group but a family with younger kids might have had issues. Would stay here again for sure. "

"Probably the most beautiful place I've ever stayed - but not the most expensive, by any means. Directly on the ocean. You can sit on the lanai and feel the spray on your face. The house itself is quite beautiful. If you want a place to stay on the Big Island that you won't want to leave, even to go to dinner - this is it. And at a reasonable price. Couldn't be happier."

"Fantastic property with so many activities and sights in the area. Unique and private, beautiful and relaxing. We enjoyed 5 days of rest, scenic tours, casual dining and exploring. We wouldn't have changed anything. The only reason we put 4**** for location is that it is quite remote and off the main highway (though roads are all paved), but it does mean a good 30 minute drive just to get onto the highway to proceed to other areas like South Point, Volcanoe, Hilo, etc. We loved the driving but it does factor into your vacation and daily travel itinerary - don't expect to find a restaurant close by, and it is Very dark at night!"
