"If you want a less expensive hotel that is safe, reasonably comfortable, reasonably clean for an old place, has great, friendly staff, a nice breakfast, etc. this is your place! It is a couple block's walk to a great REY grocery store, pharmacies, the ocean/walking/bike path, etc.--super convenient. The area and adjacent buildings are definitely run down, but that is normal for the area, in my experience. It seems safe enough. We would definitely stay here again!"

"I wish the hotel had a rooftop pool, bar, restaurant option beside the principle pool downstairs. exercise room needs updating in a larger space with newer, better equipments and a view. Such classes as yoga, dance or stretching could possibly be offered to guests."

"We were on a trip for a vacation and to visit Panama for the first time. At lot of things about this hotel are great: the location, the amenities, the people and the presentation. We would DEFINITELY not only visit Panama City again, but also book this hotel again. Thanks to everyone of the hotel staff for making this a very memorable first time visit for us. "Grounds were beautiful! No complaints, just my thoughts...food was good but lacked selection and variety. Staff were helpful however the bartenders did not seem as upbeat and friendly as other resorts we have visited. Entertainment in the evening was lacking, not enough places with music and/or dancing until 11pm. Overall the property was very nice, just needs updating. I am guessing COVID hit this resort hard."

"Magnolia Inn was the perfect place for us to stay while in Panama City. Centrally located in the heart of Casco Viejo, it is near great restaurants, tours, etc. The hot shower was glorious, especially after coming back from San Blas Islands still sticky from sunblock and sand. We loved having the common areas, especially the kitchen, to keep our leftovers and save some money on meals. I would definitely go back there next time I’m in Panama!"

"We were a group of 5 adults and one 10 year old. There was something for all of us! The property, its price, accommodations and the staff are outstanding. This Marriott Hotel is not in the heart of Panama City, Casco Viejo or other touristy areas (about 20 minutes drive) but if you are leasing an automobile, parking is easy, only $10 per day and the highways are a few meters away. There is a bit of bumper to bumper situation when you leave the hotel during the week as the Busses Terminal is next to the hotel and there is only that route to leave the property. But this was negligible. The return is easy, right off the highway. However, this hotel is situated next to the largest mall in South America, and that was a fun choice with many stores and restaurants. Make sure to eat at the hotel - great buffet spread! Also, delicious food at the Bistro Cafe right off the hotel elevators and a step down into the mall (we ate there all of our breakfasts). Also great, dinner at the beautiful Ancon Hill Restaurant in the hotel. All great! If we return to Panama, we will definitely with no hesitation will stay at this Marriott."
