"I wanted somewhere in the heart of French countryside that could accommodate a family and a dog. The house was full of character with a huge garden and had complete privacy. There was everything we could possibly need and Jenns was the perfect host. We had plenty of interesting sites to visit by car but also loved spending time at "home" with a bbq and garden games. Loved every minute."

"Certainement recommandé. Pour les personnes en quête de tranquillité, c'est l'endroit idéal. Nous aurions trouvé agréable qu'il y ait aussi des activités à faire dans les environs, mais Eric et Marie-Hélène n'y peuvent évidemment rien. Points négatifs : - Le jardin n'est pas entièrement clôturé, ce qui est VRAIMENT nécessaire pour notre chien. Heureusement, nous avons pu improviser une barrière avec du fil de fer trouvé sur place, sinon nos vacances auraient été beaucoup moins reposantes. -...

The courtyard with covered dining area and “plancha grill” for outdoor cooking were a great bonus. An impressive garden and plunge pool was also most appreciated. "We had a superb stay. It was the first time we'd been to that part of France. The gîte was lovely, well equipped and full of character. Our kids absolutely loved the pool and garden. They would have been happy with 7 days of swimming and table tennis. We did end up hanging out by the pool at some point every day. "Perfect little gite with lots of thoughtful touches! Friendly and respectful hosts. Pretty garden. There are lots of things to see within a one hour drive. I would highly recommend staying here. Valley of the monkeys is not far and very entertaining."

"A lovely rural location very quiet and charming hosts. A car is essential and there is a nearby lake Saint-Pardoux with numerous activities. Late check-in at 6.00pm made the first day challenging. Hosts Louise and James were fantastic and very helpful."

Heureusement, nous avons pu improviser une barrière avec du fil de fer trouvé sur place, sinon nos vacances auraient été beaucoup moins reposantes. - Piscine chauffée, mais en raison d'un incident avec des animaux qui ont endommagé le volet, l'eau n'était malheureusement pas assez chaude pour nous. - Certaines choses mériteraient d'être rafraîchies ou remplacées. - Il y a des objets/vêtements/nourriture appartenant à d'autres personnes dans la maison, que je retirerais personnellement. Points positifs : - Des propriétaires très sympathiques et accueillants. - Avant notre arrivée, nous avions demandé s'il y avait une chaise haute pour enfant, et ils nous ont dit que oui. Cependant, à notre arrivée, ils nous ont informés qu'ils venaient tout juste de l'acheter suite à notre demande. Nous avons trouvé cela vraiment gentil. - L'endroit idéal pour fuir toute agitation. - Très beau jardin. - La maison est équipée de tout le matériel nécessaire. Il ne nous a rien manqué."

"Our third year back at Chateau Jautrudon and the week seemed to fly by again. So much to do on site (tennis, swimming, golf, walks in the woods, games inside) and a few trips out (canoeing in Le Blanc, VeloRail at Chauvigny). Nice to see a few improvements in the kitchen plus the addition of a swing and basketball hoop."

"Everything and everyone were great at the Hôtel Emeraude. We were welcomed warmly, told where the room was which was bright and spacious and had air-con which was a bonus as it was a hot day. We were advised on where to park, breakfast and dining options. The area around the hotel is gorgeous and there is a lovely view on the lake from the terrace where we had dinner. I wouldhappily stay there again."
