"What a gem! We had a lovely 2-night stay at Alparthotel surrounding one day of skiing at Champery. The hotel is lovely, quiet, and clean. It is an easy walk from the Chemin de Verger bus stop. We did not have a car and were able to walk to a Coop nearby (grocery store and restaurant). The rooms were comfortable and modern. Would definitely recommend!"

Unfortunately, the development lacks from an attention to detail in a number of areas, including the fixtures and fittings and the layout of the kitchenette. The swimming pool and sauna were overcrowded. There is a general unclarity whether parking, wifi, towels and sheets are included or excluded from the rental, with staff at the front-desk not being able to provide clarity."

"Enjoyed the stay. Close proximity to Ski lifts and can hit all 4 Valles. Suggested to host to have give more notice on the deposit and have more avenues/ways to give him the deposit. He only wanted cash and I didnt have time to get cash being that I left the U.S.A. on a Sunday and he advised me of the cash deposit THAT Sunday morning. No Cashapp or Zelle option either.Host is VERY nice and helpful. Thank you, Jean. Enjoyed it."

"Took this trip with my husband, in-laws, and their significant others for a total of 8. There was plenty of space and we all had privacy. The views from this chalet are absolutely in-your-face-stunning and I liked the proximity to nearby ski-town resorts like Sieve. The hot tub was clean and it was also great to have washer/dryer. The drive up to the chalet is no joke, but I felt comfortable doing it in the summer time. Any communication we had with hosts was quick and responsive. Would...

"Location is ideal, staff helpful and friendly. Pool & jacuzzi a little on the cold side - Disappointed that you had to pay for the steam room. Rooms were great and the shower/bath were brill - warm and comfortable. Boot room was great but lacking a bit of seating and was always wet on the floor - the lockers needed hooks. Bar area was quiet but very pleasant, nice beer and a good pool table. WiFi was a bit weak and the lift had a mind of its own. No complaints at all, just subtle suggestions for...

"The chalet is beautiful, clean and modern! The location is remote with a gorgeous view! In the summer You can walk 20 min to the Relais, a great place for kids, playground, animals, restaurant and a view . The only thing missing is an outdoor terrace in the summer. There are plenty of balcony but a deck with a hot tub would make it perfect! The number of rooms and bathrooms make it perfect for family reunions. From the very start of our stay our hosts were very attentive, from offering to go the pharmacy (I was poorly first couple of days) to giving us great advice on where to go and what beaches to visit. "Thomas is an amazing host, as from the get go he was very responsive & helpful with any queries. The Chalet Barbara is a truly magical place and the family history attached to it makes is even more special! The hike up there is a bit of a challenge with luggage if you are on foot, as we had to climb during very heavy rain - but the views certainly makes it all worth it. "We celebrated a big birthday with a family get together; we were 17 people, all ages and ALL enjoyed their stay. The property was perfect; The rooms were great and very clean. it had everything we needed. Marco (host) went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. "Very nice place. We had a lake view with a balcony. Even though it's an old building with radiator heating (no thermostat control, but you can control with the knob). The room was pretty spacious. It was very clean. It's located on a shopping street by the lake, lots of restaurants and shops around. The only thing was laundry service was cash only (CHF15 per small basket). If you need to borrow a charge adaptor the deposit is also cash. "
