Fall Creek Falls Getaway

This spacious home is located just a few miles from the north entrance of Fall Creek Falls State Park. Our home features 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths and a large family room with a 50" TV and farm table. The kitchen is fully stocked with new appliances, including a dishwasher and a microwave. The front and rear porches are covered so you can enjoy the peace, quiet, and natural beauty of the area rain or shine. Out back there is a fire pit, a charcoal grill, and a large pond stocked with bass and whitefish. No fishing license needed for this private pond.

Fall Creek Falls State Park is one of Tennessee's largest state parks, with nearly 30,000 acres sprawled across the eastern top of the rugged Cumberland Plateau. Fall Creek Falls, at 256 feet, is one of the highest waterfalls in the eastern United States and the park is laced with cascades, gorges, waterfalls, streams and lush stands of virgin hardwood timber. Nearby activities include hiking, birding, golf, horseback riding, a nature center, and a canopy challenge course so there is something for everyone.

Very nice property
The house is nicely updated and surprisingly roomy. We had three couples spend a long weekend and really enjoyed it. We fished in the lake on the property, had a fire in the firepit and visited Falk Creek Falls State Park, Rock Island State Park and Cumberland Caverns which are all within an hours drive.

Beautiful Tennessee getaway
We really enjoyed our stay! Everything was beautiful as expected. Spiders and their webs don't bother us but they may other people so we would suggest to maybe have someone go around the outside and knock down some of the cob webs.

Beautiful home
The property was clean and comfy. It was decorated like it was out of a magazine! We caught lots of fish, and had fun doing it. The town of Pikeville is adorable and the people are so friendly. The host went over the top in providing things for guest like toothbrushes and toothpaste, soap, coffee and all supplies needed to make a meal. We loved it. 5 stars

A Hidden Gem
This was a really nice, clean 3 bedroom, 2 bath ranch. The pond out back made great sunrises!! It was a quiet dead end street. I would highly recommend this place if you are in the Fall Creek area.

Fantastic “Base Camp” for Adventure!
Stayed here a week and enjoyed many of the great things the area has to offer. Just minutes away from Fall Creek Falls, we spent nearly every day in the park doing something — hiking, canopy challenge, horseback riding, and just relaxing in the stream off Park Road! We also went a little further and visited the Cumberland Caverns to wrap it all up. The property was exactly what we needed as a family of five and we had plenty of adventures while in the house too! The charcoal grill was well used during our stay and performed flawlessly. The fire pit was used a couple of times as well when we roasted hotdogs and s’mores under the stars (which are much easier to see than in the city). We even set up our telescope and went stargazing from the backyard. A special surprise was the family of geese that included six young ones who were just learning to swim and forage for food — what a unique thing to watch from the back porch! Whether we wanted a day of adventure or just a gentle morning relaxing while sitting on the porch and watching nature, this house was the perfect “base camp” for a week full of fun and memories!

Great Getaway Space
This was a perfect little homebase as we explored the state park. Very quiet area with little to no traffic, which is exactly what we were looking for. Everything was exactly as advertised, and the check in and check out process couldn't have been smoother. We would, and probably will, definitely stay here again.

Fantastic!!!
The house was perfect for our weekend family getaway. It was spotless, well decorated, comfortable, and very well stocked. All you need is charcoal, firewood, and fishing poles. And It’s just a few miles to Fall Creek Falls. I have stayed in many rental homes and this is one of the best. Thanks to the owners who obviously take great pride in their property.

The best family vacation we have had
The house was really, really nice. My spouse, children and I had by some distance the best vacation we have had as a family and this house was a big part of the reason. Just a lovely property. I feel so fortunate we found this place. It is very convenient to many nearby state parks. and we loved coming home to the house and relaxing.

The cabin is very beautiful. The internet connection is really fast. We stayed there for a week for a family reunion at fall creek falls state park. It was a short drive to the park and also near a dollar general which came in handy.

Nice for a Home Base
We enjoyed our stay in June. We used this as a home base to explore the many waterfalls of the Cumberland Plateau. We chose this location as it was central to the many day trips we had planned and because of its proximity to Fall Creek Falls State Park. The kitchen was well appointed with pans, baking sheets, spices, ziploc bags, etc. The kitchen appliances were very nice. We did bring fishing gear and spent some time each evening catching some small bass and panfish. A few notes about the fishing: (1) guests are asked only to fish from the property lake edge and not go on to any of the neighboring property. (2) The lake is fairly shallow even several feet off the bank and there was some aquatic vegetation to avoid with your lures. This made the fishing challenging for our less experienced anglers. We had one minor issue during our stay. The host was very responsive and we were able to handle the issue with their prompt assistance. Our only con for the place was the mattresses were very firm. We have found this to be a common issue with other rental properties compared to our home mattresses. We still are giving a full five star review, but wanted to add that in for full disclosure. Book here if you're looking for a nice place close to Fall Creek Falls or other nearby state parks!

Peaceful and close to Fall Creek Falls
We love this house! We have stayed here twice now and I would stay here again. The house is spacious and well-stocked with everything you need for sleeping and cooking. A bonus was all the games, both indoor and outdoor, that the whole family enjoyed. The back yard is spacious, with a nice covered back deck overlooking the lake. Grill and fire pit. The lake does have fish in it- we were able to catch some small bass and crappie. If you never left the house, this place would make a nice quiet, peaceful and relaxing stay out in the country. However, it is literally just a few minutes from Fall Creek Falls State Park, which offers numerous additional outdoor experiences and activities, and is the primary reason we like to stay here. Thank you and we look forward to coming back again soon!
