Poipu Beach consists of three scenic stretches of white sand on the southern coast of the beautiful island of Kauai. The beach is particularly busy on weekends, as it is among Hawaii’s most popular sandy havens. Snap photos of the scenic backdrop of forests and rocky outcrops.
Go for a swim in the calm water to cool down, while fish dart around your feet. The middle sections of the crescents are the best for families due to the calmer water. Play ball games with your kids in the natural ocean wading pool. Lifeguards patrol the sandy area of Poipu Beach Park. Spend the afternoon here and use the showers, restrooms and picnic tables.
Snorkeling gear is available for rent at the many resorts in the Poipu area. Search with your family for the exotic fish swimming around in the ocean. Bring a board and head to a rocky outcrop for surfing, body boarding and other watersports. Experienced surfers should head to the surf break over the reef.
