Terrible experience with management and proper safety
- There was a gas leak at the furnace requiring heater to be shut off
- Hot tub water was green on our arrival
- Lights in the outdoor bar weren’t working
- Lighting on outdoor staircase werent working (we had to unload our suitcases down dark stairwell)
- Owner was quick to respond but only partially addressed issues. He sent someone to clean hot tub but she came after dark and we never saw her. No one checked in with us to explain why water had been green or explain what was done to ensure our safety. On 2nd day of our stay found HVAC contractor working on furnace. 2 hours before I was sent a message in app to inform me he was coming but I hadn’t seen the message so it was a surprise to find a contractor there. Contractor told me someone had complained about gas smell. He said unit would not be safe to run the remainder of my stay until parts to fix it came in. Owner messaged me afterward saying we would need to use the space heaters and stove to heat the house because gas valve was leaking. When I later complained I didn’t feel he took our safety seriously and had let us check in with a suspected gas leak he denied there was a gas leak at all. He never sent anyone to look at the lighting issues and previous review mentions this as well so seems like longstanding issue. He never offered to compensate us. Only offer was a late check out (free for him). We ended up checking out a day early since weather was bad, we had no heater and didn’t feel safe in the hot tub.
