Once Upon a Tide

Just minutes to the Gulf of Mexico and all it has to offer. Travel down the canal to the Gulf with calm waters and serine setting that is a hint of Old Florida. You may even get a glimpse of the often seen manatees. Your boat will be ready when you are because it can be sitting at the dock just behind the house. Kayaking, paddle boarding, and fishing are some of the fun activities you can enjoy. This open concept 3 bedroom and 2 bath home with an updated kitchen, dining and great room open to the screen porch and beautiful yard, entertaining will be a breeze. Relax on the lanai under the covered pavilion while enjoying the water view. Go explore the mangroves or visit one of the many islands in one of our kayaks or paddle boards. Even go island hopping on your own boat and enjoy the many restaurants on the water with boat access. You can also enjoy world class Gulf fishing within minutes. This house is conveniently located to shopping, beaches, and restaurants and having an easy commute to Tampa gives you more opportunities to take advantage of your vacation.

Perfect Long Weekend
Thank you for a wonderful long weekend at your place! Communication was quick, it was clean, we had plenty of space for our two families and fur babies, lots of fun was had by all ages on the boat and in the kayaks exploring the area!! Neighbors are friendly. The stilt houses, scalloping, snorkeling around with all the tropical fish, sandbar time, Durney Key and Anclote adventures gave us priceless memories. We made a beautiful, quick morning walk around the kayak launch area and park in Brasher Park. Gill Dawgs accommodated our large group with almost no wait time and the food was very good. We loved this area, convenient to everything yet it felt quiet and far from anything. We even got to see the manatees out in the canal as well as a baby gator (which surprised us!). We would definitely return! Thanks so much for your insight on boating the area. 💓

We had such a great time. The house and property is exactly as pictured. The amenities were great, saved us from having to rent kayaks. It’s a short paddle ride to the gulf. Shops and restaurants are really close. Property owner responds quickly to any questions. I highly recommend.

Great place!
The house is exactly as pictured. The fenced backyard was perfect for our dog! The yard overlooked a canal. Quiet neighborhood. Plenty of linens and equipped kitchen. I recommend this place.

the place was very clean. Plenty of room for the five of us. The yard was well maintained. Easy chech in. If you bring your boat, please note the tides. You can not get your boat out of the canal during low tide. Overall a great place to stay.

2020 Covid-19 Pandemic Vacation
We had a wonderful time, despite the Covid-19 Pandemic. We had a few issues which Crystal and her husband promptly responded to. We had two issues with a sewer back-up (YUCK!). Crystal’s husband both times responded quickly. We also advised that one of the toilets was wobbly (more for him than us). He sent a handyman right over for that as well. Final issue: we received a citation from the city because our boat on trailer was parked in the front yard, as their VRBO listing (3 stars for accuracy of listing) said was fine. A quick phone call was made by VRBO property owner, and we were told the city would make an exception for us for the remainder of our stay. Whew!! We loved our vacation, especially the convenience of launching our boat only 3 blocks away. We would love to rent again next year, but need to have some type of acceptable arrangements for boat/trailer parking. Crystal said she would look into it for us. I look forward to hearing from her soon. Thank you for everything, Crystal and Calvin!
