"This place was as advertised, it did the job for one night. Was clean and check in was easy. Because it’s on marine parade it’s really really noisy throughout the night and the bedrooms are right beside the road. The property could use some touches to make it more comfortable, it’s very bare bones and the bedding is not very comfy but if you just need a place to stay for the night it’s all good. I don’t think I’d personally stay here again but there’s nothing wrong with the place! "

"My sister and I stayed at Fig Cottage for a weekend up in Havelock North, it was a great location with easy access to the town. The cottage was very well set up with many breakfast options. Both beds were ready for us on our arrival. We enjoyed playing some of the games and the visits from Lexi the dog, as well as the cute surprise of apricots and raspberries in the morning. Great to have off street parking. Listing did say pool and gym which it didn't have but we didn't mind. Super responsive host, quickest I've experienced. Loved the ceilings and cute art deco touches. "Nice and spacious room for sleeping, nice to have power plugs next to both sides of the bed. Kitchen provided a lot of utensils, coffee and tea, stovetop was a little awkward to figure out but still good. Bathroom is a nice size, the large mirror is really good too! Certainly recommend for those wanting a flexible but low-price place to stay. Free parking is a great additional perk as well"
