"A great base to stay if you're exploring the Abel Tasman. Really easy to book available excursions directly at reception which was great. Staff were super friendly and helpful. We had a standard qeen cabin which although small, was completely manageable for a couple of nights. Plenty of shared outside facilities which were well maintained by staff and looked after by other guests."

The floor was sort of buckled and uneven in places and as such the door was a challenge to close. The container got quite hot as the weather was so good, but there was no air conditioning and no fly screens, so opening the windows meant I had to contend with some big bugs late at night (moths and cicadas). "We arrived and were personally greeted by Steve. I’ve been too many accommodations in my life and I have never had a host like Steve. He was absolutely superb. We originally planned to stay for two nights and because of the.Bonhomie of the place we stayed a total of six days and five nights. We would have stayed all the way to the end of our trip. This was an unexpected find and you have a really open mind. I highly recommended to book this place. Just remember, it’s not the faint heart. "
